The Company. Coffee Tradition

Our origins go back to the fifties, when Pedro Batalla decided to devote himself to the coffee’s world at the prestigious Torrefactos Magna of Lleida, where the malt was toasted. Some time later, he decided to go off and start his own business. It was then when he founded Cafés Batalla, a traditional family company, which was later, run by his sons.

Cafés Batalla is Lleida’s oldest roaster, as we can verify at the National Coffee Roasters Association of 1960 (numbered 282).

About 1995, the company moved to Lleida’s industrial area, where we keep on working to offer the best coffee every day under the brand Cafés Tarrazú. 

Our philosophy and commitment to offer quality products and the best customer service has been, is, and will always be our distinctive challenge in the market.

Thanks to our tradition, Cafes Batalla is a company with familiar origins that has been able to adapt its structure to the current market and society’s development.

In this way, the challenge of Cafés Batalla is to combine a traditional sense based on premium quality and service with a constant innovation of products and techniques. In addition, we have acquired some international certifications, such as ISO and other ecological guarantees.
